Okey Nestor
Prior to founding ondesign, Okey was president and owner of Nestor.Stermole Visual Communications Group, a packaging and brand identity design firm, where he directed a staff of seven designers. From 1993 to 1996 he served for three years as president of Shankweiler Nestor Partners, a firm specializing primarily in annual report design and brand identity. Both firms enjoyed much growth and success under his leadership.
Okey has taught graphic design and brand identity and given lectures to both student and professional audiences throughout his career and is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) New York chapter, Art Directors Club, Type Directors Club and the Graphic Artists Guild Association. His versatile and stylish work has been acclaimed by leading design associations and publications, including AIGA, Annual Reports 100, Best Logomarks of the Decade, Communication Arts, Graphic Design USA, Graphis Packaging, Graphis Posters, I.D. magazine, LogoLounge, and Print magazine.
Julie Kang
Julie changed her major almost every semester while at the University of Florida, from advertising to architecture to journalism to graphic design (read: too many interests) until she discovered and fell in love with printmaking. She graduated with a BFA in Art/Printmaking, and her fine arts background inspires her design aesthetic.
Her recent work with our firm includes design projects for The Foundation Center, Nucleus Research, Municipal Arts Society of New York City (MAS), FLOS Lighting, LEAP Media, Rebuilding Together, Stand-Up NY, Golden Door Spa, and Twinparks Montessori Schools.
When she’s not at home in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, she’s usually traversing her beloved outdoors.
Niña Cayaban
Since graduating from Parsons the New School for Design, Niña has been involved in projects with the New York City Ballet, MoMA, Betsey Johnson, the Edward Hopper House Art Center, the AIGA, and the Museum of the Built Environment in Saudi Arabia.
Her recent work with ondesign includes projects for Sony Music, The Center for Disaster Philanthropy, Foundation Center, Laurel Hill Foods, Twin Parks Montessori Schools, Rockefeller Brothers Fund and Workforce Professionals Training Institute.
Niña likes listening to audiobooks and pointing out the various dogs she sees during her idyllic 25-block walk to and from the office.
Cam Den Uyl
Cam combines a forward-thinking, strategic brain to create thoughtful, effective designs. He graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Media and Information with a specialization in Design.
His recent work with our firm includes projects for International Association of Fire Chiefs, Rebuilding Together, Peggy Lillis Foundation, St. Dominic’s Family Services, SheBee, and David S. Feldman, MD.
Cam enjoys consuming podcasts and discussing the latest pop culture news over a great cup of coffee.
