We are seeking a freelance graphic designer with the potential for full time employment with print and web based projects. Candidate will have with at least 2-3 years design studio experience and a strong background in the design/development of brand identity programs including packaging, marketing collateral, annual reports and print promotions for clients in a variety of industries. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to positively contribute as a team player within a small design office environment.
In addition, candidate will:
> Have excellent skills in Adobe InDesign, PhotoShop and Illustrator, but you can sketch up a design too.
> Be an expert in prepress preparation.
> Be able to prepare and lead client design presentations.
> Have excellent organizational and communication skills.
> Be able to thrive within a small collaborative design studio environment.
> Have experience in client relations.
> Have a better than working knowledge of web site design, programming such as html, php, flash and web ready file preparation. This is a big plus.
Duties and Responsibilities
> Designer will be responsible for his or her own project and work directly with the Creative Director in all design related matters.
> Researching and reading of all necessary client information provided with the creative brief to understand the client business/messages before initiating a project.
> Initiation, conceptualization and development of design concepts.
> Development of comprehensives for design presentations.
> Preparing and leading creative meetings.
> Develop print specs and work with creative director on clients' projects.
> Art direction of photography/artwork.
> On press supervision.
> Work with Creative Director to continuously improve overall studio structure and collaborate on new business opportunities as needed.

Seeking bright, energetic person as intern for either winter (January-March), summer (June-August), or fall (September-November) 2010. Strong hand skills, a desire to learn, and an excellent command of english are a must as is a general working knowledge of Adobe InDesign CS, Adobe Illustrator CS and Adobe Photoshop CS programs.
> Intern will be working closely with principal, art director, and staff designers in the design and production of print- and web-based jobs.
> Intern will be assisting designers and principal in maintaining the day-to-day office requirements and needs.
> This is not a paid internship. A small daily stipend will be offered to selected candidate.
